Want to travel in luxury on your honeymoon? Virgin Atlantic reveals multi-million pound refurbishment...
Couples heading from Heathrow to New York JFK for their honeymoon can now fly in utter relaxation as Virgin Atlantic Airways revealed their newly redesigned Upper Class Cabin this week. The redesign has taken four years of research and development, and cost £100 million.
The new design includes "suite" style seats with aisle access, so newly-weds can get in, out, and back in again without treading on anyone's toes. Once reclined, they become the longest full flat beds in business class at 220cm - the perfect indulgence for the trip of a lifetime.
If sleep is the last thing on your mind and you want to toast newly married life, you're in luck. Behind bespoke curtains adorned with over 1,000 Swarovski crystals, is the new cabin bar. It's the longest bar in the sky and accommodates up to eight guests.
There's even eight mood lighting schemes to create a relaxing atmosphere as you fly, and afternoon tea is served on certain flights. Although the new Upper Class Suite is currently only available on the from Heathrow to New York JFK (V0003/4), the fleet is being upgraded between now and 2014.
