The Argentina 's Wilderness and Wildlife Group tours commences in the vibrant city of Buenos Aires where you will have a chance to experience the Argentine way of life, with bustling markets, cafes and fascinating museums. The tour will then continue southward to Valdes Peninsula, a Unesco registered nature reserve that is home to a large variety of marine wildlife life , you can see whales, elephant seals, this important site is the largest breeding ground for Magellanic penguins in South America. Continuing still further south, the tour takes you to the southern most city in the world - Ushuaia which is a gateway to exploring the Antarctic. Your final stop is in El Calafate to visit the Glaciers National Park where you can admire the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier.
Arrive in Buenos Aires in the morning to transfer to your hotel, Dazzler Tritone. Take a panoramic city tour in the afternoon including the Plaza de Mayo and the colourful districts of La Boca and San Telmo. Enjoy a spectacular tango show with dinner in the evening.
Depart Buenos Aires for Trelew to visit Punta Tombo, the largest Magellan penguin colony on the continent. Continue to Puerto Madryn to overnight at La Posada.
Full day tour today to Peninsula Valdes to Puerto Piramides to view the sea lion rookery. Also an optional whale-watching boat trip will be possible in season. Continue to the old lighthouse at Punta Delgada to see the elephant seals, returning to Puerto Madryn in the evening.
Tierra del Fuego National Park
Return to Trelew to fly down south, arriving at the Hotel Ushuaia. Free morning for optional tours, then in the afternoon visit the Tierra del Fuego National Park with its beautiful Lapataia Bay and views over the Beagle Channel.
Free morning in Ushuaia. In the afternoon take a tour of the city including the World's End Museum.
Glaciers National Park
Fly from Ushuaia to El Calafate and transfer to Hotel Kapenke in the centre of this town overlooking Lago Argentino and on the borders of the Glaciers National Park.
Depart El Calafate for Puerto Bandera 50km away to board the catamaran for a trip across Lago Argentino to Upsala, Onelli and Spegazzini Glaciers.
Depart El Calafate today to the far end of Lago Argentino to visit Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the largest glaciers in the world. If you are lucky you may see parts of the glacier calve off, crashing down into the lake below.
Depart El Calafate to return to Buenos Aires and stay at the Dazzler Tritone. Free time to explore the city at your leisure in the afternoon or do some last minute shopping.
Extend your tour with an optional side trip to the lush tropical climate and roaring Falls at Iguassu. Or some time spent hiking or horse-riding in the great outdoors around El Chalten close to Calafate. A spectacular expedition cruise around Cape Horn and through the Patagonian fjords into Chile can also be added to your trip. You could even cross the Rio Plata from Buenos Aires and have a few days relaxing on the coast in Uruguay if you would like a bit of rest by the beach before returning home.
