5 packing tips for your honeymoon

5 packing tips for your honeymoon

Pack like a pro and squeezing everything you need into your suitcase for your special trip…

1. The right luggage is everything

Selecting the right bag for your trip is essential. If you're staying in cities or basing yourselves in one place, a wheelie suitcase and daypack combo might work best. If you're on the move, away for a long period or getting active on your honeymoon then rucksacks could be a better option.

If you're taking suitacases, choose a hard shell lightweight case with compartments to store smaller items and toiletries. The lighter your case before adding your clothing, the better - and the hard shell will keep all your items protected. If you're taking rucksacks, make sure they're properly adjusted to your back and think about one with a detachable daypack.

Take a slim lined e-reader (for example, the Amazon Kindle) instead of bulky paperbacks, and don't forget that digital versions of your favourite magazines are available too…

5. Pack the right way

Use all the space in your suitcase and hand luggage by swapping folding your clothes for rolling, and filling gaps and pockets with essentials such as socks and jewellery. Pack all of your inflexible items such as shoes first, and fill the surrounding space with your clothing, also filling pockets and shoes with your clothing.

Keep essentials in your hand luggage (passport, documents, money are the obvious ones), just in case your main bags go astray. Include a clean pair of underwear for yourself and your other half, weird as that sounds, so you're set for a day or two.

Make yourselves up a kit of your own essentials, but the basics probably include:
